Adaptations are special features that allow a plant or animal to live in a particular place or habitat.
Some animals have developed specific body parts to survive in certain environments e.g. webbed feet, sharp claws, sharp teeth, large beaks and wings.
Plants also have structural adaptations e.g. waxy leaves (to prevent pathogen entry or water loss), or different root structures.
