Today we continued with our study of the Circulatory System.

We did an experiment, opening and closing our hands for 1 minute, to show that the heart is very special in that it is a muscle that never stops or gets tired.

Corrected all the HW questions on Digestion.
Noted that Gaseous Exchange happens in the Alvioli.

Today we did a number of experiments:

We discovered that the average resting heart rate was 16 beats per minute and that this increases with exercise.
We experimented to see if there is more Carbon dioxide in exhaled that inhaled air.
We tested glucose solution with Benedict's Solution and heat an saw that it turned a brick red colour.
We tested rice and a biscuits with iodine, they turned a black colour indicating the presence of starch.
